Tip of the day

 Do you love to use your big shot but hate when the dies don’t cut all the way or come out right.  You can try adding shimes or running it through several times but I recommend the precision plate to help it cut better and the die brush and foam.  They make a big difference and you can check them out at www.bjstampingtreasures.stampinup.net

Party Pop Up Thinlits Dies

2″, 4″, 6″, 8″Box

  
  
Materials needed:
Piece of DSP that measures 8 1/2″ x 6.
Piece of ribbon 7″ 
Mini stapler
Rose garden thinlets
Thick Whisper white card stock
Big shot
Trimmer
Scissors
Markers in old olive and melon mambo
Velum
Sticky strip
Instructions:

1. With piece of DSP score with the long side at the top at 2″, 4″, 6″, & 8″. Turn and score at 2″. Fold all score lines and then cut up all bottom lines to the first score line and wedge out the bottom 1/2″ score line. Fold together and adhere the box together.

2. Attach the ribbon to the box the length you desire.
3. Now die cut two rose garden framelits the l. rose one from thick whisper white card  stock.  Adhere one to a piece of volum and then adhere the other to the other side being sure to line up the roses. Color the rose melon mambo and old olive and then add wink-a-stella clear to one side. Adhere it to the box and you are done.

Materials needed:

6 x 6 DSP

Coordinating card stock cut 2 1/2″ x 2″

Embellishment of your choice

Piece of ribbon or twine cut 3″

Velcro

Sticky strip or tear n tape

Trimmer

Score board

Corner rounder

Hole puncher


Instructions:

1. With piece of DSP score at 2″ and 4″ turn and repeat on the other side. Fold all score lines and then score a 1/2″ line on opposite sides at 3″. Fold all four corners at a angle from the outer point to the inner score. Then fold from that little 1/2″ score to the next score, do this on both sides to form a section that looks like the side of a milk carton.

 2. Fold up all scores to make the bottom of the purse. Next take the piece of card stock and score with the long side at the top at 1″ and 1 1/4″ fold the score lines and punch two holes on either side in between the two scores lines. Add ribbon or twine through the two holes and tape down, round front two corners. Add sticky strip to the back section and adhere to the DSP on the middle section that does not have the folds on it, then fold closed.

3. Add Velcro to the bottom of the flap and opposite sides to close the purse. Embellish the front as you wish.
