Card in a Box


Materials needed:

Card stock cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ & 2 3/4″ x 8″


Score board



Sticky strip


Window sheets

Embellishments, punched or stamped and cut out.

1. Cut a piece of card stock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and then score with the long side at the top at 2″, 4″, 6″, & 8″ turn and score at 2 3/4″. Fold all score lines and then cut down all top score line to the first score line. Then cut out the top of the 1/2 tab at the top. Adhere the tab to the other side of the card with sticky strip and then fold down the top three front flaps.

2. Cut 6 pieces of DSP 1 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ and 2 pieces of DSP 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere them to all the front side and back panels of the card. Add embellishments to the inside back, and outside flaps.

3. Cut another piece of card stock 2 3/4″ x 8″ and then score the long way at 1/2″, 2 1/2″, 3″, 5″, 5 1/2″, & 7 1/2″. Fold score lines making it look like a square mountain, and then put SNAIL on the outer 1/2″ sections. With the card open stick this piece inside adhering down the 1/2″ sides.

4. Cut as many pieces as you wish of the window sheets and adhere them to the insert with sticky strip. (You can cut them veering heights). Add embellishments to the top of each of these window sheets and you can also add squiggles, grass, or other things like I did to the birthday one.

5. You can add your greeting to the back panel, which you can leave white or another light color.
